The Template Preview page gives you a detailed view of an individual template — its name, description, document, recipient roles, and unique identifier. From here you can send the template as an envelope, edit it, or manage it without returning to the templates grid.
The preview opens when you click the eye icon on a template row or card in the templates grid.
At the top of the page the following information is displayed:
The attached document is displayed inline with the number of pages shown. Navigation buttons allow you to move between documents.
The preview includes a panel for configuring recipients before sending. Each recipient role defined in the template appears as a section where you can fill in:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Subject | The email subject line sent to the recipient. Defaults to a placeholder such as "Document ready for your signature". |
| Role | The signing role assigned to this recipient, for example Needs to Sign. |
| The recipient's email address. | |
| Name | The recipient's name. |
| Multi-factor authentication | Optional MFA requirement for this recipient. When enabled, the recipient must complete an additional verification step before accessing the document. |
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Quick Send | Sends the template as an envelope immediately using the recipient details filled in on the preview page, without going through the full envelope creation flow. |
| Prepare and Send | Opens the full envelope creation flow pre-populated with this template, allowing you to review and adjust all settings before sending. |
| Edit Template | Opens the template in the editor so you can modify its documents, recipient roles, or signature fields. |
| Clone Template | Creates a copy of the template with the same documents, roles, and settings. |
| Delete | Permanently deletes the template. This action cannot be undone. |
Use Quick Send when you need to send a document fast with known recipients. Use Prepare and Send when you need full control over the envelope settings before sending.
